We've modified a bunch of different manifolds for use with FT injectors side by side. Not only are they taller, dual oring, oversized body, but they're also not a straight install even if the manifold section had no lower counter bore.
Pictured here is a billet gato rail / manifold combo we modified both sides to make everything fit, mount and assembly perfectly just like it was designed that way.
Some main things to acknowledge / understand are the potential complications of machining inside of a finished bore to extend it deeper.
Additionally the use of a round over for easy, tear free oring installation.
